Choose +28dB for quiet recording, such as podcasting or solo streaming. Bypass Switch: A convenient bypass mode allows the microphone to send an unboosted signal to a professional console or interface without using the built-in preamp. Bypassing the preamp returns the SM7dB to the performance of the original SM7B. No matter how you use it, this microphone maintains its excellent sound characteristics.
